Sire of 11 world champions and North American Champion sire 1888 and 1891. Three of his son also Champion Sires; St Bel 1894, Electrite 1897 and Chimes 1906. Grandson Wanut Hall was champion in 1911 and 1912, and great grandson Abbedale (pacer) in 1938. Important foundation sire. Died 1890. Bred at the famous Stony Ford Farm, Campbell Hall, New York by Charles Backman in 1868. Electioneer was purchased by Leland Stanford in 1877 and headed the Palo Alto Farm in California, which later became the site of Stanford University.
